Hi,

Normally, when “gasoline” is used as fuel, then to maintain stoichiometric ratio, lambda is maintained at 1 (AFR =14.7).
But, when different fuels are use i.e.:
1. “CNG” (Compressed natural gas),
2. “Gasoline having 25% ethanol by volume” (commonly called as E25),
How is stoichiometry maintained. Is there a diff setting to be done in the lambda meters?

Lambda 1 = stoichiometric regardless of fuel type

Nvr, I always try to explain that and people don't get it.

That ar thread where people were talking about e85 showed who doesn't know what they are talking about lol.

Yeah, lambda is fuel-independent, but I'm curious if the best lambda for CNG is the same/similar as that for gas (I know E85 and gasoline are approx. the same, but haven't looked into CNG at all)? What is lean/rich best torque for CNG?

CNG is largely CH4 which has an AFR of ~ 17.2:1 by my calcs.
