Hi All,
I'm curious about this. Specifically, I'm looking at 8E1910115G 0010 HW 0261S02521 SW 1037389075, but should apply to all.
What is the range of frequencies (or, technically periods) that the stock MAF outputs?
And what is the maximum range of frequencies or periods that the ECU can understand if it's not the same as what the MAF outputs?
The MAF calibration table is at 1C4B20, right after KFKHFM.
All this is with the goal of installing a different MAF, not just a bigger housing.

AFAIK MAF outputs are DC not PWM.

Do you mean DC voltage like older VAG MAFs? Or somehow duty cycle?
The lack of MLHFM in the ECU, replaced by MSHFMTPH'(Massenstrom aus HFM in abhängigkeit von Periodendauer) is what made me think it's frequency-based.

It´s PWM for sure. I measured it in past, i can take a look later if i find some information. Bosch (Audi TT-S CDL engine)and Hitachi was totally different. Your Audi should be a Hitachi.

They LOOK like some GM MAFs, which tend to operate in the 2k to 15k ish Hz range. Whether or not the stock MAF operates in that range, maybe the ECU can make sense of GM signals, he said hopefully....

Idle is about 2k hz. It´s not a pwm, but frequency...
