I wrote a tool to go the other way, and create a CSV from a DAMOS file. The ultimate plan was to have it recreate the DAMOS file with map address offsets that I would find and put into excel.
I never finished it unfortunately, but is this the kind of thing you're looking for?

Yep, sounds like you need version 2 of my tool lol
I built it so i could start putting together a map pack for an RS6, but simply don't have time to continue development at the moment,.

Then damos is as worthless as kp.
Undocumented binary formats aren't worth making a generator for. You can reverse engineer them to get information out of them, but the other way around is almost never worth the effort.

kp to xdf?
mapdump in my ECUxPlot source code repo will do it (java) It isn't part of the binary release. I suppose I could add it. Note that currently it only outputs the old xdf format, not the new xml xdf format (I'm currently working on implementing it)

that's what it says in your .dam file, and I haven't used anything special to view it....
