Hello all,

I have the 5120 hack working a treat, but for 1 thing.

On a full tilt 3rd or 4th gear pull, the throttle plate most times closes to 40% - 50% part way through the pull.

I’m using KFLDRL to control the boost with KFLDIMX linearised.

LDRXN & LDRXNZK are set to the same max as KFMIRL.

With KFMIRL maxing at 240 and a MAF of ~220g/s its fine.

I raised the boost via KFLDRL to give a MAF of ~230g/s and the throttle plate closed to 40% - 50% part way through the pull. I raised the KFMIRL maxing at 250 and it seemed to solve the problem.

I’ve now raised the boost to give a MAF of ~245g/s and the throttle plate closes to 40% - 50% part way through the pull. I’ve raised the KFMIRL to 260 but its still closing to 40% - 50% part way through the pull.

Shall I just continue to raise the KFMIRL or is it something else?

Any suggestions most appreciated.

Also before the 5120 Hack it was working fine up to ~250g/s.

I’ve attached the a logs & the current Bin (I know all is not perfect with the logs knock etc (using UK 95 RON petrol until the tank drains down));

Your problem isn't throttle plate closing, its req boost dropping. Why are you looking at anything BUT that? I've said over and over again, get req boost correct first. That is literally the only thing you should be doing before anything else. You are making things way too complicated. Work one problem at a time.

After pondering over the logs I think I've worked it out.

There are two problems both of which I already know about, the map is fine (need to reduce the load now though), the problems are;

- Traction control kicking-in - still got winter tyres on at the moment.
- Knock pulling the desired boost - got half a tank of cheap supermarket UK RON 95.

Sound about right?

Running over 2 bar on a hairdryer on 95 RON, mind blown.

I have no idea why he insists on doing this.
