Ordered a replacement ecu.
I'm surprised nefmoto gave me no errors or trouble reading it though

New ecu installed.  Luckily my car is no immo.  It started right up.    Though now it overboosts.  Must have been something "different" about that weird old ecu with the riser.

Now that it is gone, and a normal ecu is in there, the boost is going crazy!  Or maybe this new ecu has a tune on it.

Boost is so high that I don't dare wot.  17psi at like 4500rpm

Not like anyone is paying attention it but all sorted out.
Stuydub gave me a nice file for the new ecu and it flashed and runs great.

No one is paying any attention because you did not post a single log, nor did you have any intent on DIY anything.
This forum was not created so that randoms can flip files, it was made to learn.

Good that you got your issue sorted, but the reason no one cares, is that you're not trying to learn anything.

Ok makes sense.  I guess what I was trying to learn was wtf was going on with all the weird errors when trying to flash.

I was just trying to update the thread with concluded information.  I think that's important to do because anyone searching with similar problem in the future will need this thread.

This has happened many times before actually. It's totally normal if there's a riser in the ECU that flashing will fail.
That's actually the first thing you check for when you get some weird error for erase or write and the car is still fully functional after that.
