After further investigation, I believe the correct identification is:

4B0906018BG 0261206536 1037352748

I'm am unclear what it the correct memory layout for my ecm and what would be considered normal errors reading the ecu.

I've attempted unsuccessfully to read using the 29F800xx and  29F400xx memory layouts.   I am able to read there are a number of errors during the process.

Are you using Nefmoto to read it? Is it chipped by tuner perhaps? Have you read on how to read out ECU? I'm only going over the basics, constant battery supply via charger with NO interruptions? I've had mine lock me out for a few minutes because battery was not optimal. If your having trouble with Nefmoto software, you can post your logs in the section at the top and Tony should answer back in a few days.

I would really like to do accomplish the following:
1) Read ECU firmware so I can both modify and use for backup/restore
2) Modify firmware to delete secondary air pump from the system ECU
3) Reflash modified firmware

The goal is to totally remove the secondary air pump from the system.  I've already attempted to fix the system and dropped too much money into fixing it so this is my last resort before just getting rid of the car

I'd like to get comfortable with read/write ECO can read/modify/restore the ECU.

you havent provided any information for anyone to actually help you.
all youve said is this is what ive got, this is what i want, and its not working.
read/write is pretty basic. if youve only made it as far as plugging your cable to the obd2 part and clicked read and got stuck when it didnt work then it may be time to consult the help of someone else.
the previous poster asked you things like: is your car currently tuned? because the answer to that question may have a huge impact on why your obd2 read is not working.

I have some additional work that I need to do. I need to connect the battery charger to the system and see what happens.  I will update as soon as this is complete.
