Hi all ive got a 2000 Audi A6 4.2 V8  Ive deleted the Secondary air pump system off the car. I was wondering if anyone could help at all with removing the software for the secondary air system out of the Ecu please. Im happy to make a donation to the forum .

Im waiting on my cable to arrive its the ft232rl is that correct ?

What drivers do i need to install to use for the ft232rl cable. Ive just download nefmoto just waiting on the cable.

Ive tried the cable and it works. it connected at a baud rate of 108400 i think it was in dumb mode.

From here how do i extract the imformation from the ecu and save it to the computer?

Also how long does it take to read the info from the ecu. Does it depend on the baud rate?

I typically you the 52k baud rate on these. read takes about 2-3 minutes write takes about the same.

Load your saved bin in any hex editor - HXD & Tunerpro are what most use, winols demo may make it easier to read without being able to build maps/change data. HXD to just change hex data, Tunerpro to build maps/a def file too.

EDIT - Then start by looking for ESKONF as detailed in the links, you'll prob need a def file/help/post your bin up for the other bits

Hi it's saved as a xml file is that still good to use. I only want to switch off my secondary air pump thing
