I'm trying to dump the mpc from my ecu using the mentioned tool V2.4. I haven't played too much as I don't want to brick it but when I tried dumping all the blocks it gave an error message. I got scared and  didn't try again after that. Luckily the ecu is fine.
Would anyone with experience  know if it would work if I dump just the first block of 32K and then skip blocks up to 0x18000 and dump all the rest after that?

Problem solved.
St10 flasher 2.4b has a problem writing to a hex file but writes a txt file flawlessly.  I wrote a simple program to convert it to binary.  Got the whole 832KB out of the st10f276. Good for a free tool.
I wasn't game enough to try the clone mpps V12/13 as it bricked the ecu in bootmode when it gave an error erasing the flash. Galletto fixed it.

I have the same problem with ST10 Flasher Tool 2.4b (tool v2.3c, dll 2.4b) - a HEX dump gives error "LoadExternalFlashMonitor: target Not found". It's seems to be a problem with the st10flasher.dll: older versions of the flasher tool can write HEX dump - e.g. 2.02 (tool v2.02a, dll 2.02b) or 2.3g (tool v2.3c, dll 2.3g).

I use MPPS v13 nowadays. It was cheap but does the trick.

I've been searching all over what to do with a 832kb file and cannot find the answer. I have a ME7.1.1 Type 3, was able to get it into bootmode with a resistor on pin 24. I used MPPS v18 to do the dump, but no ME7 tools are happy with its outputs. I'm not sure what to do now.

Not sure what you are asking, but the 1024 kB flash has the maps most people tune. The 832kB is mostly code and no software I have seen around deals directly with it.  You use IDA to alter it.
