Author Topic: BTS kicking in through B_tabgbts with EGT of 660  (Read 1185 times)

Hello guys,

currently I am trying to fit a pair of new injectors. The injectors I want to fit are Bosch EV14 550ccm with a 4bar FPR. I already changed KRKTE and TVUB as follows:

Code:
KRKTE: 0.051504
TVUB: 3.30 1.62 1.16 0.75 0.54

I think the fuel trims are fine. No big differences in LTFT. However in WOT my BTS is always kicking in. According to the Funktionsrahmen I logged B_tabgbts to see if it gets activated. I got this information from the diagramm LAMBTSENABLE.png in the attachments.

And as expected it gets activated around 2800 rpm as you can see in attachment FlagActivated.png. However if I check the condition for the flag  to activate according to the S4 Wiki (Chapter LAMBTS) I can not see why it is getting activated?

My threshhold is still original with 840°C. While it is activating my calculated EGT is 660°C. Also curious is that BTS just shows around 400 rpm later in desired Lambda as you can see in Lambda.png. I am sorry that I do not know how to add images in here ...

I also added my log. The tune is bad in my opinion, but I am currently trying to get fueling right. Does someone of you maybe now why BTS kicks in already at EGT of 660°C?

How looks FBSTABGM?
When it kicks at 660 the TargetAFRdrivereReq follows KFLBTS or LAMFA?

^ You got it wrong mate, TargetAFRDriverReq=lamfa.



First what is your CWLAMBTS set at? Is tabgm_w or TABGKRM_W is the switching point?
If you dont have cwlambts defined, just log both of these values and you will see which is used as tabgbts_w and you will find your issue likely. If not you will have to look elsewhere.

I have the same problem in a audi TT BAM file fuel desire follow LAMFA not KFLBTS.
I use modifications for 5120hack file. Car works greate but i can not change the fuel to KFLBTS. I tried to work with KFLAMKRL and it works but i had a DSG and when the gear changes retards appear and use KFLAMKRL. I deactivated it. So my problem remaining fuel desire follow LAMFA not KFLBTS.
My CondEGTForPartProtection (B_tabgbts) is active when  EGTModelBeforeCat(tabgm_w ) is touched like i defined in my file in TABGBTS -630, BUT the problem is the AirFuelRatioDesired ( lamsbg_w ) follow LAMFA not KFLBTS.
LAMSA is leaner than KFLBTS very musch.
TVLBTS is 0
TDLAMBTS = 0
TKATSA = 1229
TABGSS = 1229
KFFDLBTS - all 0
KFDLBTS all 0
I don;t have KAT and rear O2.
EGT sensor is disabled because i use a gt2871, so,  egt is calculated.

Can be CWLAMBTS? it is 0 in my BAM file. I saw in AUM (032SG) / AUQ (032HS,032HN) CWLAMBTS is 4 (bit 2 active for tabgkrm).  I don't have this TABGKRM_W in ecu definition for ME&logger.
I will try with CWLAMBTS = 4

KFLBTS 0 ? KFFBTS 0? I think you answered your own question.

CWLAMBTS = 4 -> tabgkrm_w is used as the critical temperature
CWLAMBTS = 0 -> tabgm_w is used as the critical temperature

not KFLBTS ....i wrote KFDLBTS 0 and KFFDLBTS 0 too.
KFLBTS is ritcher than LAMFA
I need tabgkrm_w for 018H.
Only difference between 018h and 032hs (witch works on KFLBTS after tabgbts was touch) is CWLAMBTS!

Not sure why you think MAF scaling changes things here... your logged EGT is all that matters anyway.

Mate..

You should look again because:
1.B_lambts is active but B_tabgbts is not until 630~.
2.AFR request from lambts is much much leaner than lamfa, therefore it uses lamfa as final desired afr, everything works as it should.

Check your calibration again but I highly suggest reading through the s4wiki multiple times....

I saw this, desire follow lamfa table even if lamfa is much leaner than KFLBTS+(KFFDLBTS*KFDLBTS)!
TABGBTS is touched, B_Lambts is active...problem remaining...AirFuelDesire MUST NOT BE LAMFA!
The problem is in other place i think!
Blazius, oplease can you confirm my 2 scallae addreses are correct:
TABGBTS - 0x1CADC
TABG - 0x1CB44

Something happen only when back to stock with KFDLBTS and made all 1 for KFFDLBTS.
The fuel desire is ritcher than LAMFA but leaner than KFLBTS.
i atached the log and the modification of fuel desire can see at 100% pedal.
