Hi.

Does anybody knows if its normal that I can't connect any diagnostic tool (eg VCDS which worked ok with other cars with similiar dash) to this dashboard on the bench (I've 1K0907530 gateway which has worked previously with red FIS without problems), on the autoscan I can see that dash and immo are present but its not possible to start diagnostic session.
I think that CAN is ok because with emulator its possible to move speedo and tacho needles.
I don't have paired keys but I have filled 0xCC0 - 0xEAF with 0xFF and now "Wegf..." info is gone but still can't connect to diagnostics.

Thanks.

VCDS uses a different CANID which is translates to the right one by the gateway.
So to be able to use VCDS it will be easiest to add a gateway to your setup.

Thank you, problem was in 1K0 GW, which was too old for this dash, I have borrowed 7N0907530 from my car and diagnostics worked ok with this.

Next part of this testing bench is RPM and speed emulator, got some example code from the net but not everything works, probably some logging will be needed...

Normally you can connect cluster direct to VCDS. Some years VCDS versions does not support this, but in current version it´s working without GW also.
