Hello,

How can i verify which ME7.5 ECUs can i use for my 1.8T BAM wideband build?

For example i've found this ecu which is cheaper and in better condition than 8N0906018..

Can it be used in my case? If not, is there any list of ECUs and their parameters?

Thank you in advance

Since when do ecus have good or bad condition. They're totally sealed up.
Anyways.
Ecu cross compatability is a tough one. Luckily a lot of wb ecus work together

I meant some of ECUs looks like brand new while other ones seems like they've been laying down under the sea for 20 years.. I know its only visual aspect but..

What do you mean by WB?

Just get whatever transverse (wb= wideband) ECU. It will probably cross-flash without issues.

Thats a 2l 8v ecu, its not 100% compatible. Its missing hardware the 1.8t ecu has. It will run the car tho you wont have closed loop lambda, and a few other things

If you are in the market for a tune and would like the ease of downloading and flashing a dyno tested tune for a fair price check out https://instatune.sellfy.store/

Thank you very much.

I finally bought 8N0906018H BAM ecu. Should be fine.

Now i am confused with wideband conversion. I will have BAM engine with VVT equipped and i think i need to add wires to the VVT solenoid as well?

As i see that aftermarket wideband conversion kits has some resistor added for non-vvt engines. Is it necessary in my case? Or shall we just disable VVT afterwards?

Thats my last concern, thank you so much for your help guys!

Just run two wires from the lambda to the ECU, saves about 99$ on this way to expensive conversion cable.

Also you can add in VVT too.

Yes, but i need to connect VVT solenoid somehow as my main harness is from AJQ engine.

Also i dont see VVT related pinouts on ME7.5 pinout, please check:

Thats why i've asked. Not sure if it should be connected directly to ECU or in different way

Okay.. So it took me few hours but i think i've got it.

It seems like the VVT solenoid is controlled by ground signal from ECU PIN 115. The second wire going to solenoid is 12v.

I hope it is correct.

What engine are u putting that ecu on?
Basically you can fix any differences in software.
Things i had to fix
Egt
Vvt
Maf
Injectors
O2 delete rear
Cat delete
