Hi All

What is a good tool to read this ecu, flash and eeprom, in order to clone or tune?
I presume the Nefmoto sw is now too old to support this?

all depending how much you want to spend on a tool that reads and write. Most original tools will do this ecu. i use flex myself

cloning 1:1 is not possible, the cheap one wich read and write flash and eep will be PCMFLASH with scanmartik in bench.

Not super cheap, considering it's about 1000 EUR after you buy the hardware and required modules.
However, because it also does many gearboxes in boot or OBD it's one of the better cheap choices for VAG.

You still need Scanmatik which is the biggest expense.
The rest is cheap. PCMFlash is a sw only solution.

I guess if the Scanmatik was cloned as well then...

EDIT: I looked, and indeed it's all fully cloned.
Too bad, that's why you make everything online these days and leave much of the critical functionality on the server.
