Hello,

is it possible to swap ECU (in my case for VW tiguan 03G 906 016 BT) from one car to another?

How I have to do to make it working? Is enough to remove immobilizer flashing eeprom?

thank you

if the code is the same, it is enough to remove the immo or encode it.
The second option if you have hardware is to clone the ECU.

Fastest way - do immo with Odis online.

03G906016BT is EDC16.
EDC16 can be fully cloned. Via connector with proper tools or by opening the ECU via cheap chinese clones.

If you have no tools and no knowledge of anything, then... well don't do anything.
For every approach you are going to have to pay. And for every approach it is going to cost more than to go to dealer and have them code the ECU to the car.
I wouldn't open these either, because they are usually mounted in plain sight and the casing is completely corroded.

could you tell me what are "proper tools"? Could you tell me hw and sw tools?
I can evaluate to buy them...

I have electronics experience, i have eeprom programmers but nothing for automotive yet.

I have to remove immo in this ecu, the problem is that this one was sealed with silicone and is not possible to remove the board and I have not direct access to eeprom. I have access only to back of board. There is another way to read and write eeprom?

I have just opened a new topic here:

If you already opened the thing, and the BDM test points are exposed, you can use some china BDM. Should be easy.
Otherwise a proper flashtool through connector. I think the cheapest will be around 3000 EUR. New Trasdata master with relevant cables and protocol activations.

I mean either way, the proper master tools cost 3000-6000 EUR.

Pcmflash does offer EDC16 bench too. You need scanmatik Interface to use it. But in the moment not easy to buy stuff from russia...
