Hi,
I am having an issue with a engine swap. I am using an AUM engine and wiring loom complete with ECU and steering column. Most of all the engine sensors are plugged in and engine is cranking but not starting. When trying to read with VAGCOM I get no communications with the ECU. The ECU code is 06A 906 032 JH. I have checked fuses and all seems OK. I can read the CAN Gateway and am getting codes for no ECU communication or abs communication (no abs plugged in as I'm not using it) Could the ECU be bricked? If I get it into book mode can I read the original flash off it or will I need to reflash it? I cannot seem to find an original ECU file for a 032 JH ECU but I do have a 032 DR flash, will they flash over? Any help appreciated

Thanks, it was a bad ground. All working now. Engine is running, will be working on turning off a few things SAI and Evap etc. I also need to recode for no abs, can this be done through soft coding in Vagcom or does the Eeprom need to be recoded?
