Hi guys, Friend of mine recently melted a piston and spark plug broke inside cylinder 2.
A4 B5 1.8T T3 T4 Hybrid, Forged Rods, 3" downpipe, External Wastegate..
He is furious (obviously) and he is blaming the map someone did for him. Are you able to check if this can happen by the map attached? I am really curious and looking for expert opinion on this as I don't think this can happen from the map below attached...
If it's not needed of such post please delete...
Thanks

Firstly, allways post an defenition file and also for the love of god tell us what ECU it is! I checked it with ME7check and found an not so well defined xdf. The ECU is an 4B0906018CG 0002 if anyone needs it...
First thoughts is that the ignition timing is somewhat agressive and that IOP hasent scaled its x axis propperly. I cant see the fueling table so god knows.
But its impossible to say if its the tunes fault without an datalogs.
Anyways you should have cheked out the datalogs yourself before you go full balls to the walls and melt a piston

What is T3 T4 Hybrid?
Uneducated name for a T04E Normally a 50 trim with a .63 backside housing. Its just the normal $100 ebay junk.

Nifty a pointless screen shot. Requested lambda based off pedal percentage, means nothing if it wasn't verified in logs. If the rest of the engine looked fine when the head was pulled then clearly it was a isolated incident. Broken injector wire, shit china clone injectors, plugged filter basket / injector etc. END OF STORY.

File is garbage too, if you want a lol take a look at max specified load . Bts fueling is stock, timing is just a %% increase 20* max advance at full throttle LOL.

isn't that a big deal? if IOP is not done properly then that would turn off some very important safety feature. if I recall correctly, IOP helps torque monitoring, and will pull timing(or is it fuel?) when things get dangerous. I've definitely seen it in action. And I can imagine that the timing pull is there to keep your pistons from melting! FYI i'm no expert here but this is my best guess
