Hi guys. I'll try to describe my problem which I'm facing sometimes.

The thing is I'm facing Hotstart engine problem, but not always. Mostly am Sommer and driving by hot weather +35-40C°. So I need to crank my car twice to ignite, and it's take 3-5sec to start a car. I'm pretty sure that this issue comes form hot engine, coz engine starts normal while it's cold. So I'm looking for solution before the warmer weather comes soon again.

So I was looking in my mappk file and have found a map Id TANDT - Delta Temperature Ansaugslüft fur Heißestart.  Can someone pls tell me more about this map. Coz I think this map can maybe fix the issue im facing or I'm completely wrong?
Have allrdy read some stuff in ME7 Funktionsrahmen, but didn't understood much on German.

I would really appreciate.

It's probably related to something mechanical instead.. such as crankshaft position sensor.

I had this problem once. It was coolant temp sensor. Your engine is hot (like 90 degC), and in the ECU the temp reported is like -20 degC.

This will be hardware rather than software.

The reason why i was thinking about it's coz I'm facing this sometimes, mostly at hot ambient temperature. So I don't think the hardware it's completely broken if we talk about coolant temperature sensor, basically a car start great under normal conditions.

isn't that what we basically doing? Fixing hw problems with sw solutions in some cases like disabling O² sensor, EVAP, Cat and many more other stuff. So I was just thinking if someone maybe have solution for that kind issue too.

Sorry Adam, but I'm not able to do any logs atm I don't have tools for that. But of course I'm gonna buy VCDS soon and do logs as soon as possible. I'm pretty new in this and learning stuff form this community and S4 wiki.

Have successfully done "soft" Stage1 and definitely my car feels better after all. I was thinking about to represent my work here but i haven't logs file yet.

Please read the stickies
1) VCDS logs are pretty much useless, with the exception of monitoring trims and (sometimes) misfires
2) logging software is free

Trying to fix hardware with software is silly.  No-one else has these problems.  Changing maps without being able to see the influence with data is also silly.

You dont need logs to check the ECT anyway, take a multimeter to pins according to the service manual and you'll know.

Hot start problem is 99% the coolant sensor on a 1.8T , the other 1% is wrong injector setup.
