Hello! I'm very new to the tuning world and i have very little knowledge, i have been reading as much as i could before any modifying but still managed to break something Smiley.
I purchased a kess v2 5.017 clone and tried tinkering with my golf AUQ.
I ID'd and read the ecu with 2.47 kess and went well. Got an original base map off of this forum and opened them in ECM titanium to try basic modifying(tried to get pops and bangs as it seemed the easiest to begin with.  (Also to note, the car already had a soft on it)
After modifying the file i wrote it on the ecu and no error but the car didnt start, so i tried recovery but i get unkown ecu, wake up, and error while writing.
What can i do now?

I attached the file i read and the one i wrote.
Also attached the map i used for original on ECM titanium

Both files are shit.  Start with OE file and construct your own.  Pops and bangs is not the easiest thing to do, and even then you did it wrong.

Thanks for the feedback  Cry .
First, to get the car starting again, is it ok to write the seat original file?

Well damn, i've come to the conclusion that i messed up big time because i tried it with an already tuned bin from what i understand. if anyone can correct me please do.
So from what i know, now i have to pull the ecu and flash it in bdm mode an original bin? any replies or feedback is welcome.

First off, the reason your ECU went to shit is because you didnt checksum the file.

If you want to do any tuning what so ever read all of this before you try and do anything: https://s4wiki.com/wiki/Tuning

Tuning these ECUs propperly are HARD and there are only a handfull of people in the world who truly understand how they work. The rest of us are just copying their work Smiley

Also please use something else than ECM titaniumm. WinOLS or TunerPro is the way to go.

If you want to just fix your car again flash the file your read to the ECU in bootmode.

Make a bench harness, grab the copy of Galletto 1260 that's floating around here, and un-brick your ECU that way using boot mode.  For some reason I have not been able to un-brick my ECU on the car.  I always have to take it off and do it on the bench. FWIW I'm pretty sure you also have to power pin 121 on my ECU in addition to whatever else is normal.  Mine is an 06A906032HS from a 180HP 1.8T Golf.

When you re-flash it, make sure you checksum the file (me7check).

Some advice: make one change at a time, validate your change worked as you expected by taking logs, repeat the process until you're satisfied it's doing what you want/expect, then move on to the next piece of what you're doing.  Also
