Author Topic: Can't figure out why ECU dissable lambda control during WOT  (Read 1896 times)

This is car I worked long time ago and today it came in my hands for adding some more stuffs. Also I made log to see how engine work
it have a lot work on it, need MAP and N75 change, also must check timming chain beacuse It have -5 KW intake cam etc..
But one thing I can't figure out, why it shout off fr_w?
IT does not hit LALIUSMN, also lambda control is under +25%. What else could be? I never see something like this. I am going tru FR but can't find anything

Boost is over desired but that should not turn of fr_w
Ignition goes to negative(-8KR) but also I seen worst case but never that this will trigger off fr_w

Also don't have car now to log rest variables for lambda control, but I am curious what it is

WOT in last gear from low rpm

stock 225 bhp TT injectors
k03s turbo
most stock 225 hp flash with slight boost incrase,pops,and emmision dellete

Are you sure it's a wideband ECU and it's not narrowband? just checking

I have no logs because I have a boost gauge (makes things easier)

Heheh narowband don't have curent air to fuel ratio.
Yes it is BAM ECU with LSU 4.2

For some reason I cant get a graph in ECU Plot with your file.. What are the EGT's? There is a whole piece on the forum about KFLBTS controlling your AFR's when TABGBTS is reached.

Without looking at logs, I am sure you know, but all wideband me7.5 I've seen disables wideband lambda control after a certain threshold on WOT, never looked much into it but I am fairly sure it has to do with safety , guess you dont wanna make correction at WOT from a bad sensor/poisoined sensor. You need to check conditions as for what it is, egt , control limit over a period etc.

Sometimes it keeps last value too, there were discussions about this behaviour back then.
Oh yeah I forgot it also gets turned off with BTS... but if you wanna check actual conditions refer to above


Attached is a bad tune/bad sensor car but I've seen this behaviour multiple times, had a switch off at 3.5k or so cause of threshold exceeeding, then on top RPM it just set value even when lower read limit of the sensor is exceeded.

He didnt log EGT, or any of control related bits to see, EGT too etc. hardware issue is another problem.

Not my case

I give up from thinking what is wrong here, I will tell friend to fix this other issues on car and then will log again and retune it
