Hello all,

I’m new to the world of ecu programming so forgive me for not knowing everything just yet.

Currently in the middle of swapping engines in my Audi A6 avant, I’m going from a 3.2 v6 to a 4.2 40v v8. I have finished up the mechanical, and the wiring, now when I try to turn the key the dash says “SAFE” on the trip odometer. I believe this is due to the new ecu still having the vin and immo data from its previous car.

I have taken the ecu apart, removed the eeprom and scanned it. I have the bin file, now how do I go about either removing the immo or making it a virgin unit?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks
