1997 Audi A4 ECU Compatible?
« on: June 15, 2012, 08:56:44 AM »
Can NefMoto read/write the ecu on this car? I read a bit and could not determine if mine is a ME3.5 or ME7 ECU. Thank you.

Ok, so I would have to de-solder, flash and re-solder each time? How can Revo and the like flash over the port?

I looked up the part number and apparently mine is not M3.8.2 , it is M5.9.2:
8D0907557N - 0 261 204 179 / 0 261 204 178- Bosch M5.9.2 - OBDII Programable
Does that help things any? Thanks.

M5.9.2 maybe done over OBD or bench per manuel wiring but just write with proper MPPS or Frieling SPI.

Galletto won't program this ECU. MPPS clone will do your job properly.

Desolder flashrom, readout in epromprogrammer, post file here on nefmoto please.
Then buy a cheap v12 mpps interfacedongle (ebay?), and flash tunes over obd into you ecu.
Job done.
Cheers,
Pvl
