Car came with a key and a ecm(bosch me7.5), missing cluster.

I bought 2 clusters for it, one with immo 2 from 2000 vw beetle and a immo 3 from 2005 vw beetle. Both clusters are magneti marelli clusters.

The ecu does not have a pin code and I cant program it.

I'm using a kkl usb to obd2 cable, but I'm willing to buy a different one in case this generic cable is the issue.

I don't want to take the ecu apart, and I am trying to do this strictly through obd2 port.

I would like to match the 2005 immo3 cluster to my ecu which is immo 2. With the immo 3 cluster, i can use vcds lite and go to instruments and hit recode and change the software coding and make the mileage change. I have to login to adapt the ecu and the keys.

What program and usb to obd2 cable do i need to pull the skc from this mm5 cluster?

VAG k can commander with my kkl cable gives me login codes from the immo 2 cluster but they are wrong. i also need help generating the whole skc code to login.

My ECU has pin code being FF out in its Bin.

Trolling as a first response to a thread. Maybe I should just. Scrap my car since I cant get anywhere with it and can't find anyone who will help without spending out over 100$

I've been trying to get this stupid anti theft system fixed on my car for a whole month and it's my only vehicle. No vehicle no transportation to get to work and get bills paid. And all everyone wants to do is troll or not help.

I've done put a motor in this car and have been sitting through the internet trying to get this done and nothing Ive found works with what I have and no one has any direct answers or other people that get their stuff working doesn't provide enough information to follow their procedures.

Nobody gives a shit about your sob story here.

Good start is to match the correct cluster instead of assuming an immo3 cluster will work with an immo2 ecu.

Get partnumber via VIN and buy correct cluster. There was also early (us) beetle without immo from factory, or some aftermarket shit immo. Nobody knows which spec your car is. And if it would be very important for just remove ecu and disable immo. After this you can think about how to fix errors in dash.

I'm not sure if that's a similar case to the Audi TT's cluster (Magneti marelli  Lips sealed), but just saying, also haven't found any way to read or write via obd. Only by disassembling the instrument cluster operations can be done.

As the previous one well advised, remove immo from ecu and you can drive your car...

Have you tried kw1281test?  It should be able to extract SKCs from Beetle clusters
