How does this work on a car with a single manifold flap. KFSU has values of 0, 1 and 2. So SUMODE is flaps deactivate, 1 is flap 1 activated and 2 is flap 2 activatied (flap 1 deactivated).

But there is only 1 flap in a R32 for example, so what happening with SUMODE 1 and 2

1 is hysteresis.

Thank you, Is applied when actuating the valve or de energising the valve?

Either, 1 keeps it in whatever state it was when the map passes through it. It like a Schmidt trigger , stops bouncing.
