So I downloaded/ installed all the logger stuff but when I try to log it says

" NEED ECU 0261207260     ECU IS 0261207005 "  I downloaded bin file  for 2001 Audi a6 2.7t tip

Is there another file I should be getting this one matches exactly  only difference is I'm stage 1 apr
This is the bin I downloaded Is it good or is there another one

Attached is the 0261207005.bin from my 2001 A6 TIP. This is a stock (unmodified ) file uploaded from the ECU.

  I have a 2001 Audi a6 tip wtf I thought there was only 1

did a 1 second Google search and found this:
Bosch 0 261 207 260 - - AUDI A6 S6 2.7 V6
This is Bosch petrol engine control unit.

Part number   0 261 207 260 (alternative: 0261207260)
ECU Type   DME
Manufacturer   Robert Bosch GmbH
Software part number   1 037 360 166
Brand   AUDI
Model   A6
Engine   S6 2.7 V6



Looks like you have an S6 ECU. But what do I know...

The S6 used a 4.2L V8.
So it's A6 ECU.

Not much too figure out.

You need the binary that matches what's on the ECU.

If you can't pull it (tuner protected), request it in the appropriate section on this site. Chances are someone will have it.
