Hello everyone,

My name is Daniel. Sorry for the noob question or otherwise called favor. I've been trying to mod my car and add Pops and bangs in the 4-6k RPM range. As you may already guess my attempt wasn't very successful. The damos/map pack which I have maybe is not the right. I've been looking around for a resolution and I watched a couple of tutorials, but the data that I have in the following tables are different than what they show in the tutorials. Is there somebody who would like to do that simple mod for me? As per the rules of the forum, I won't post my .bin file, but I will leave the download link. So far I was able to disable SAI and O2 and add launch control.
https://dox.abv.bg/download?id=65d80e1b84# - ecu
https://dox.abv.bg/download?id=bbdb7b70c0# - map pack
https://dox.abv.bg/download?id=12bf367f91# - Damos/XDF

KFZWMN and KFZWMS are very different from what I've seen. Just to mention I already tried to do it once and once the bin was flashed on the car when I started it the car revved and then I decided to ask for help before breaking the car.

This is what I've been using so far. If somebody is open to assist will be glad and will appreciate it.

I think the mappack you are using is for a different software version, too lazy to check. So you have uploaded an 032HN 1

try the mappack for hn1 in this post:
http://nefariousmotorsports.com/forum/index.php?topic=576.msg25808#msg25808

Also try comparing the deltas to the file marty posted here:
http://nefariousmotorsports.com/forum/index.php?topic=19253.0

You'll need CWSAWE @ 1126C
KFTVSA, not sure of location, but can probably find it by comparing to marty's file with a little effort.

There are plenty of definition files for HN on this forum.  It's very easy to define.

Thank you, for the response. However I tried with the hn1.kp and the KFZWMN is the one that I was looking for. But the KFZWMS is missing, also KFTVSA is missing in the file and the one that I posted have plenty of files. I tried some other mappacks from the forum but no luck so far.

Quick update guys, I think I did the job. Could you please just take a quick look at it? I followed the following tutorials

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z_5Y-j2dSfY&t=1s&ab_channel=vm-concepts - pops and bangs
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z_5Y-j2dSfY&t=1s&ab_channel=vm-concepts - hardcut

Here is the download link for the zipped bin files https://dox.abv.bg/download?id=db68ae6e4a#

I've done two separate files. Hardcut is not a must.

I've checked for errors in the checksum. I'll attach the log as well.

Thank you in advance.

I assume KFTVSA/KAT are at 19AB5 and 19ADD respectively.

If so, looks good to me, as wells as kfzwmn changes and cwsawe.

Didn't check other file.

Hello guys,

Quick update - I've flashed the car with the file and everything so far seems to be okay, but maybe because I was stupid some time ago to bypass the N249 and delete all SAI, now I've run into another problem. Maybe I did it wrong, but now I have errors P1297 and P1200. I'll try in the next few days with stock DV, since I have BOV right now installed on the car. And the issue is that I can't pass more than 0.7 bar boost. Is there any workaround on that if the stock DV doesn't work things out?

But the Pops and Bangs work and it's not aggressive, just as I wanted it.

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

hi BOV has external circulation? not good on 1.8t. to remove SAI look for ESKONF. for the rest it smells like MAP hs. and well check if there are no leaks. I kept N249 I find it more linear with for everyday use.

Have you checked that the diverter valve is actually good?

Hello,

I have checked the BOV and that was not the issue, but I will place a DV by the end of the week. However, I resolved it I think. It was faulty N75, it was placed incorrectly facing the opposite side, and the long side was not facing the intake as it should. Now the car runs well. And I have checked on the ESKONF and I made 1 correction. But I will assemble the N249 when I have more free time. I'm glad that I was able to do the pops and bangs and the hardcut alone. Maybe I'll now try to make it a little bit more aggressive (for the Pops and bangs).

Thank you for the assistance guys, appreciate it!

Hello, I'm not some hardcore tuning but pop n banks is evil if it doesn't help to increase torque power, I think that you can be domnynym if you achieve something yourself and not by kicking predecessors. I personally don't care about pop end banks because it doesn't make power and torque and it only destroys the turbocharger.Pop n Banks gives nothing but respect in the district, it's better to start with a decent stage 1.

I agree with your point, but to do Stage 1 needs much more learning, and to be honest, it's much more dangerous if you don't do it right. However, Pop and bangs is one good exercise to get used to WinOls, TunerPro. Also, you are gaining experience with how to flash the car and check the file for checksum errors (for example).  I mean... In general, you gain a lot of experience. Maybe it's not the safest thing to do, but I'm not spamming the whole time Hardcuts, launch control, and so on... And keep in mind that somebody before me most likely messed up the ECU, but thanks to this forum and all the information in it I was able to get back to stock, and then I built up my tune.
