Hey!

My clutch and gearbox is slowly giving out and the price of DQ250 is very enticing so I was wondering if its even possible to pair with ME7.1 ECU p/n 022 906 032 E?

I've read loads of topics on ME7.5 1.8t, but mine is a 2.8 24v 4motion and dont really find much about it. I possibly could find a 3.2 DSG ECU from a TT/MK4, but the issue is that my engine is the older style with a single coil pack and single VVT setup (so also single hall sensor).

Single coil pack (at least here in the states) is a 12v engine. The way they do it in a 1.8t is use a auto 5 speed file with the dsg with some additional software mods. Why would it be any different on a vr6?

It's an AUE from the year of 2000, kinda weird engine, I think its based more on the Beetle RSI as BDE engines came.later.

I just got the impression that you MUST use ME7.5, or they just dont have the ME7.1 and ME7 is a DBC throttle one?

Never actually tried reading the flash of mine yet, but now that I did - "ECU reports that security access is not supported."
It's almost knees deep of snow, so I didn't take much time to mess around, but I'm guessing it would be similar (I have a feeling mine might be tinkered with) if not the same to the one I found on this forum (attached for ease of access).

Regarding the security access - during the summer I did do a cluster swap, but the light went out and the car started without having to input the ECU SKC which I didn't have and was in a rush, so I didn't bother, so maybe the immobilizer is not set up properly and that is the reason.
