Ctrl printscreen button for everything or ctrl alt print screen for the window that is highlighted up the top.  Then open up ms paint and paste.  Save as a jpg.  No real apps needed etc.  But for the most part here anyway always try to grab the text first instead of a screenshot.

me7_95040.exe" --bootmode -r -p 1 95040.bin. If all else fails google exactly what you typed in.

I kinda got lazy reading the whole thread, but what exactly are you trying to do anyway?

I have a spare ecu that I am practicing on… it has an immobiler on it. So trying to immo off using me7eeprom.
I have a bench harness setup for the process.
I can’t seem to read the eeprom, so I guess maybe I haven’t actually entered boot mode.

PLEASE DO NOT POST SCREEN SHOTS

Text is fine. You can always include it in a code bracket like
Code:
this

to preserve whitespace and indenting.

If you flash the 551M bosch file you dont' have to disable immo (other than to flash it without bootmode)

if you have bootmode working you can just flash the M file directly and call it a day (no need to twiddle the eeprom, though you may want to back it up).

Your problem is assuming that using a GUI makes sense. It doesn't. You still have to know what parameters to pass the program, including the com port.

Is any other program using the port?  Like Nefmoto flasher?   Pull the usb out and plug it in again.

You don't need boot mode to read.  You only need it to write to the ecu.  Go back to the cable that was working with netmofo.  You should know what communication port you were using for that?     It's only a k-line to RS232 comm/usb type cable.  Try typing me7_95040.exe then you can look at the arguments it uses.  Pick the easiest one.

Use something like termite to check the port actually works as well.   At this point I'm tempted to ask you to download teamviewer...

C:\Users\Matt>C:\Users\Matt\Desktop\ME7EEPROM.exe
ME7_EEPROM v1.40

Allows to program ME7 ECU's EEPROM.
This software needs a dumb serial to k-line cable for connection with the ecu.

Usage: me7EEPROM [-p <comport>] [-b <baudrate>] [--OBD | --bootmode <mem_type>] [--CSpin Px.x] [-r | -w | -s] [<file name>]
 -p, --comport  COMPORT    Set COMPORT.
-b, --baudrate BAUDRATE   Set BAUDRATE, default: 10400.
                           Allowed baud rates: 9600, 10400, 19200, 57600.
--OBD                 Use this option to read the EEPROM over OBD port.
Currently, only read is supported in OBD mode.
--bootmode MEM_TYPE   Use this option to program the EEPROM in boot mode.
                           Allowed memory types: [95040 | 95080 | 95160 | 95P08].
-r, --read                Read EEPROM contents and save it to file.
-w, --write               Write a file to EEPROM.
-s, --screen              Displays EEPROM contents on the screen.
--CSpin               Set the CPU chip select (CS) output. eg: P4.7
The following table shows all available ports with
                           its corresponding physical address.
                              Port   PortReg   DirControlReg
                              P2     0xFFC0    0xFFC2
                              P3     0xFFC4    0xFFC6
                              P4     0xFFC8    0xFFCA
                              P6     0xFFCC    0xFFCE
                              P7     0xFFD0    0xFFD2

Read EEPROM over OBD port:         $ ME7_EEPROM --OBD -r -p 1 95040.bin

to me this is what i would enter to read the ecu. except to change my port ?  right?
