which files are closer and which can be flashed instead?

018R 0261206539 1037354735?

018CG?
018DC?
018DH?

a4 b5/ a6 c5 4B/passat...

018DC is crossflashable with 032HS/HJ dumps.

A quick checkup is looking the bootrom version in ME7Check. If they match, just as everyone else here try crossflashing the dumps.

ok thank you, CG does not start yet same bootrom but different file .CA works. so of course there are several variants of ecu numbers depending on the years and models but I thought that the files were identical for the same engine and that only the difference was in eskonf. But not only. I will try with others that fall well on my basic definition. I'm learning slowly but surely

018dh is bootrom 6.xx i cant remember...
try flashing DC, if this works, just go for 032HS/HJ etc. they are very well defined

This is really bad advice considering injector size, base fuel pressure,  turbo dynamics, and a handful of other differences between the two will cause issues for tuning or at the very least will require porting calibrations in order for it to even run proper.

yes I agree, well checked injector size, boost, eskonf .... the closest file. basically if it does not agree with the definition of my stock ecu I do not test. am I wrong? I'm interested to know which 1.8t ecus can be crossed with each other. but before being typed by the old ones of the forum I acknowledge it that helps me to make me a good definition xdf or kp. because the identification of maps seems to me too complex for a noob like me and I already have something to learn on the forum and wiki.

Just wanted to point out, that when DC crossflashes, 1.8t AUM should also work and they are well defined. Which then would make it easier for him, then finding maps by himself.
Of course it is not "flash and go", this would only be the case when he gets a matching definition.
