VSS reads from the gearbox, unless you have used the wrong gearbox.

Yeah, but gearbox is replaced from automatic to manual, also TCU is removed from car..

is there a way to convert reading from abs speed sensors?

Thanks.

You're expecting someone to fix your problem for free? If you're seeking a solution and you don't want to do the leg work (read the fr) and flip a few bits to get speed from CAN for the ECU then make a post in the Wanted section and pay for a solution... The cluster eeprom needs to be edited too, it's not just in the ECU. Also, it has nothing to do with the ECU eeprom, the switch is in flash. OR... You could read the pin out of the ECU and the cluster and run the vss wire directly to the cluster and ECU... If you're playing with the files on your car you should be savvy enough to read pinouts and wiring diagrams.

All mk4 gearbox'es, manual or automatic, have an analog speed sender. Your manual gearbox definitely has one, if its from a MK4 (A3, golf 4 etc.), not from a newer generation car.
