Questions on the ECU of a 2007 Audi A4 2.0tfsi. My original ECU is 8E0910115P but i see there is also 8E0910115D, 8E0910115M & 8E0910115K (not to sure about the 115K) now for the questions, what's the difference? Is the FLASH exchangable? Is the map addresses different or are they the same? Is the ECU itself exchangable? I know the s3 has more power and it also comes with a 2.0tfsi besides the larger fuel injectors and turbo can I use that flash on my ECU? maybe use a s3 ECU? I know the fuel injectors & turbo are larger so that aside.. Where do i go? i have found a defined xdf and map pack for 8E0910115M but can i flash 115M to my 115P and is there any IMMO imbedded to the flash that needs to be changed as well? I know on the me7.1.1 the R file was the key and you could flash the 115P and 115AA to the 115R..  Any pointers or knowledge would be awesome! Im using a clone MPPS21 but i also do have a kess, attached below i have my Original 115P flash along with the link to the 115M post ive found, Thank you in advance and sorry if i didnt post correctly.

Should be in noob section.

Tune your own file. Do not crossflash.

i understand some people dont like to do that but on the me7.1.1 switching to the R files was everything to tuning as the 115 would brick if you looked at it wrong. that being said i still think about cross flashing the 115m until someone can help with a good xdf or .kp file. personally im not great on winols and its quite costly for an average joe that wnts to tune only his car. so im still at a stand still looking for help with my 115P.

Make sure you have BDM or bench tool to make a backup and restore the ECU because after your shenanigans it won't be OBD flash able anymore.

Or just fuck around and find out yourself.

ok fair i do have a kess and i was thinking of getting a second ecu to clone it over, but as i said im not good with winols so how would one start to even learn how to find addresses to make a xdf or mappack. i understand what your saying but to say tune your file with no defined xdf or .kp kinda leaves me in the air still with no direction other then tune your own file.

I wanna give you a direction regarding your questions, but first you need to define what exactly are you trying to achieve.

``Questions on the ECU of a 2007 Audi A4 2.0tfsi. My original ECU is 8E0910115P but i see there is also 8E0910115D, 8E0910115M & 8E0910115K (not to sure about the 115K) now for the questions, what's the difference?```
I would suggest looking up the numbers in ETKA. You will find out in which car was which number used.

``Is the FLASH exchangable?``
You can "desolder" the flash and solder it back on somewhere else. However i would not recommend doing that. You can just flash your file onto a different ECU.

``Is the map addresses different or are they the same?``
Depends on your binary, but generally speaking: they are usually different between different versions. Some things might be similar, but most of the maps/ram variables are in different areas

`` Is the ECU itself exchangable?``
Yes , you can exchange the ECU. You just need to adjust the WFS(immobilizer) because else it wont work. Alternatively, you can apply a immo-off-patch on the EEPROM.

``Any pointers or knowledge would be awesome!``
Have a look at posts from user namend "Basano". He wrote a lot about the MED9, and if you read everything he wrote and do his "excercises" you should be able to master your MED9. Attention: It will take you a long time to learn and understand everything.

If you are just lazy and want to have results fast, go to someone and pay him for his wisdom.

If you are incapable, then either learn or pay someone to make you a def or pay someone to make you a tune. Easy.

All the info is here incl a bunch of defs and FR's.
If you can't figure it out from that, then this is not for you.

find a large definition file and, in the same way, find the same addresses in your file. You will gain a lot of experience and at least understand how to search for a map

BPG 2005.5 and ealy 2006 and BWT late 2006-2008 (USA MARKET) they are different engines. The compression ratio, shape of the combustion chamber, rial pressure sensor etc. are all different and so are the calibrations. Cross flashing will cause a mess. Been there done that like 12 years ago.
