The original CWLAMBTS in 2.7 bit ecu software is 03 (hex), so bit2 in this codeword is set to 0. When bit2 is set to 0, TABGBTS uses tabgm_w (temp before cat). There is nothing wrong with that if we have original EGT sensors that enrich based on the ATR module.

But what if the EGT sensors are disabled and the ATR module is not working?

I think at this point bit2 of CWLAMBTS should be switched to 1 which will allow to use tabgkrm_w (manifold temperature) because tabgkrm_w is higher than tabgm_w. What do you think about it?

M at the end of the tabgm stands for Modelled therefore S means sensor, so tabgm is a modelled temperature and tabgss iirc goes from sensor

There is no connection between this and EGT sensors.

Then you need to completely recalibrate LAMBTS so that it never hits high EGT.

No, it will do nothing. It will just trigger BTS earlier (but non-RS4 is always in BTS anyway), but it won't change anything at WOT.

LAMBTS is not closed loop control.
