I understand that these are similar in the aspect that they are basically “legends”or “keys” that identify specific parameters of a file like throttle, ignition timing, boost control, etc., unless my understanding is incorrect which I would love to have the proper information regarding these files. Can a xdf be used in place of a damos file or vice versa?

Thank you!

Damos is used a general term for a definition file normally. However .dam file extensions do exist and can be imported into winols as a mapack. kp is a definition file that's in winols format. A2l id also another format that can be imported into winols as a  map pack. OLS file is a tune file and definition in one and can only be used in winols. XDF file is for tuner pro and can only be use in tunerpro. Hope that helps

Thanks for the fast reply! I’m used to used tuner pro for making some changes and messing around/learning/ect so I’ve been using .bins and xdf’s. I’m getting into learning how to tune and I’m still at the basics starting with buying my first real interface to read & write. That being said I’m wanting to make the switch to WinOLS and I’ve seen the damos A2L map packs so I wasn’t sure if that was just a bunch of files which act as xdfs, my guess was for WinOLS specifically
