Hello folks,

ME7.5 tuning is a new area for me. I have some expertise in MS41/42 (BMW E36/46) but this is completely new territory, so I have to ask for some help...

I have a 2000 New Beetle 06A906032CK with the APH engine, and I only want to delete the SAI.
First step was to study the S4wiki, so I figured out, that I have to modify MSLUB, MSLBAS and the ESKONF.

I found ESKONF on addr 00014F5D -> AA FF 00 30 FF F8 33 changed it to AA FF 00 30 FF FB 3F should be right?

My main problems now are to figure out the right address for MSLUB, MSLBAS and the checksum.
After changing the ESKONF i tried the me7sum tool, but I always get the message "ABORTING! 3 uncorrectable error(s)"

I attached my stock bin, the ESKONF-customized bin and my me7sum error message.

Hope someone can help and/or support me.

Many thanks in advance from a german me7 newbie!

Hi, you used the wrong memory layout to read the ecu. That or you used a low quality mpps cable and the result is twice the size of the original. Anyway this is a me7.1 ecu not a me7.5 ecu so using other me7.5 damos to try and find would be real hard. Anyway here is your file the correct size and eskonf / mslub configured in a ols project.

Hi, thank you very much!
I also noticed yesterday that I used the wrong memory layout. Used 29f800, then I used 29f400 and I was able to correct the checksums.
Oh, it's a ME7.1? But when I search for the new beetle and the APH engine or the number of the ECU, ME7.5 is displayed everywhere - this confuses me!

I have one more question that I haven't found the right answer for - when I read my ecu with the 29f400 layout, but really it's a 29400BB chip, is the file useable or useless?
Or I better ask differently - how can I see if I choose the right memory layout (29f400 or 29f400BB) without opening the ecu?

Thanks
