Hi all this is my first post so im sorry if this is in the wrong place. I am very new to this and have spent some time reading various posts on the forum.

I have a Z16ler engine from a 2009 Corsa vxr which uses an me7.6.3 ecu. From what i understand the the engine needs to communicate to the various modules in the car via the can bus in order to run. The engine has been fitted into my vauxhall nova which does not have a can bus or the various sensors needed for this.  Before i go down the aftermarket ecu route i was wondering if there was possibly an alternation using?
These wont be a permanent solution but enough to get the engine running and enable me to have it setup properly on a rolling road
1. Maybe reflashing the current ecu with a map from a similar engine that doesnt require the can bus modules to work
2. I know that a common engine in a nova is the z20let and a modified loom and unchipped ecu package are available. These engines use the Me7.6.2 so would it be possible to put a z16ler map onto this ecu?
3. Is it at all possible to remove/modify the software in the existing ecu so that the engine would run without the other modules or the can bus?

Are the pinouts for these ecus the same regardless which engine they are on? If so is it possible to find a pinout diagram for them?

If you made it this far then thankyou for taking the time and any help or advice will be greatly appreciated.
