I need some help changing the VIN on the RB4 cluster from my B6 A4. I tried it myself by reading the EEPROM with VAG Commander and then Find/Replacing the VIN in HxD, but as far as I can tell it didn't work. I don't even know if what I'm asking is possible but if you could please help me I'd really appreciate it!

I'd like the VIN changed to: WAUVC68E15A126026

More context for those interested:

I have a 1.9 TDI-swapped A4 Avant Quattro. The engine / wiring harness and ECU came from a car in the Netherlands, and I also swapped the cluster with another one from Poland that has the diesel tachometer and a ColourDIS (8E0920930T). When I first completed the swap I was still using the red cluster that came with my car and there weren't any major issues; I rescaled the tachometer but I had to delete the IMMO from the EDC15p ECU as it wouldn't pair with that cluster.

After swapping to the colour-diesel cluster and coding new keys to it I started getting VIN mismatch error codes and the Airbag light keeps coming on 10 minutes after starting the engine. I can't get the cluster to learn the chassis VIN because the ECU also doesn't match that. My hope is that after manually changing the VIN to the cluster I'll be able to re-enable the immobilizer and properly pair the cluster and ECU through VCDS and finally have a fully integrated swap  Cool

vin editing is not possible on eeprom because it is crypto
I can change the VIN in the ECU and you can relearn the dash

Ohhh that makes sense. I thought I saw in a comment on another forum that someone had done it for RB4 but maybe I misread that.

If you could edit my ECU files for me that would be amazing! I'll attached the latest dump I made from my ECU. I saved that during a rough night of trouble shooting so I'm not 100% sure if the immobilizer was turned off or not.

If it's not too much to ask I'd really appreciate if you could send me both an IMMO OFF and an IMMO ON version with the VIN updated.

Thank you!!

Thank you! But your file is password protected so I can't extract the bin files
