	translate / assign ROM/RAM values in variable names in IDA « on: July 13, 2012, 04:14:33 AM »

for some ME7 ECUs (1.8T) there are quite complete .damos files which have all the variable names and descriptions assigned to the ext RAM (0x380000...) and ROM (0x810000) adresses.
How do I get these names in my IDA project more or less automatically?

i to am also wondering this, ive been looking for a plugin to help also that andy whittaker had, seems it was on this wiki but the link is borked Undecided

I've been looking into this as well, more to do with the cruise multi map that's on here. I think you can use the me7 logger to get all the variables as when you run that it creates a config file with most the ram and rom address and what's assigned to them. How you then get idapro to sort through these I don't know but you can manually go through them to match them up.
