Author Topic: ME17 Boost Control/Feed Forward - Wastegate Pressure table (10x10)  (Read 1133 times)

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if someone would be able to help me finish my tuning on ME17.8. I am using TD04 Hybrid Twin turbos and stock wastegates with maximum preload (11PSI) and Stock which is 6 PSI.

I am struggling to make my actual boost follow my setpoint, its either overshooting (low rpm) or undershooting (high rpm). I have heard of a boost patch for this ecu but I am not sure if the PID still remains active afterwards?

If so I would be interested in patching the ecu with the boost patch but from what I understand, if the wastegate pressure tables are not setup correctly for more preload, will that even work?

Any advice appreciated.. Thanks!

what vehicle exactly is your ME17.8 installed in? I don't think I've ever heard about such a boost patch for this ECU specifically.

Its a McLaren ECU, but its basically just an MED17 use by Audi, Merc..

The ecu can be patched with custom code. etc

Then I suggest you take this on with the higher authorities of ECU patching and get it figured out then. Preferably for free too, right? Considering it's such an old ECU.
