Simple guidance to the software

Posted in software as well. Noob I assume. I downloaded what appeared to be the correct and most recent version of NefMoto, unpacked and installed but all I am seeing is some new app named VC-Scope. Where do I go for the down and dirty read/write application. TIA

vc scope is the log viewer for vcds lol, has nothing to do with flashing or anything.
