so i have done timing on a caeb engine code and i keep getting a p0016 camshaft correlation code. i have retimed it verified I'm tdc and cams are locked at tdc, chain is correct and tensioner/ guides are correct. Is  there a specific sequence for adaptation, if so what is it?

how would you verify tdc on the crank, cam, and piston?  the intake and exhaust cams just give you the little marks but don't have anywhere to line up the marks on the valve cover/ cam cradle

Take the OEM manual, buy all the required factory tools, and time it correctly.
I bet you're eyeballing shit that has no business being eyeballed.

You compared tdc from pulley or piston? This is a common mistake if not using correct pulley tools...

The marks on camshaft have a defined distance in repair instructions, did you measure it? Did you read these instructions?

started with pulley and then verified it off piston and cam gear mark.
i was unable to find them in my repair system do you have the link for it.
