Guys,

Im pondering to clone my current ECU with another one.
Reason for doing that is to learn more on the MED9.1 and hopefully get about to tune it on my own. I've shortlisted these 2 because i do not want to open up my ecu and solder some chip on it (like BDM100) and if i pay someone else to do it, it wouldnt be entirely my effort so PnP is the way to go for me. Does anyone have any experience using these?

I know that its a steep learning curve but trying to do this has been a long time goal and looks like i've the time and money to do it now.

Any reccommendations of reading materials, forum posts are encouraged 

sometimes mpps do have problems with some med9.1. in this case you have to recsue with another tool like byteshooter..
but mostly mpps is good for med9.1 and very fast

Also trying my hand at med ecu but is there any difference between med7 to med9 as to flashing?? Only because med7 ecu are whole lot cheaper to get hold of

You can't clone with MPPS.  You need BDM mode
