Hey guys, I have an Audi A3 8L 1.8 20v 180hp with ME7.5, I'm planning to install a standalone aftermarket ECU, but I need to know which CANbus IDs the Climatronic needs to continue working. Dashboard cluster needs ID 0x280 for the RPM to work, does it need any other IDs to turn off warning lights? I intend to simulate these signals with an Arduino CANbus, has anyone tried this?

What is your goal with this project that you are hoping you can achieve which you believe is not possible with Bosch ME7.5 ?? Just curious

A3 8L climatronic dont need any canbus data to work.
From the engine, it only needs and RPM input via dedicated wire (pin 37). Its an square wave.
The ECU receives from climatronic an signal that the AC is on via pin 41. In this same pin, the ECU can disable the compressor by grounding this pin.
This is ALL, nothing more.

First of all, thank you for the information. Is pin 37 of the RPM connected to the ECU or the Climatronic connector? Does pin 41 of the ECU receive signal from the Climatronic to correct and increase the RPM with AC on? In case of full load, or very high water temperature, does the ECU send a signal on any pin to the Climatronic to deactivate the compressor? My plans are to replace the original ECU because the MAF sensor is difficult to find, and my engine is completely customized, so I need a real-time tuner.

By the way, I'm using an ABA 2.0 engine block from a Golf MK3. Is there a way to adapt the right-side engine mount to this engine block?
