I'm having trouble accessing the forum—I have to keep clicking to refresh and resubmit several times. My browser displays an error. How can I fix this? It seems to me that the problem is related to a certificate or an old virtual host on the AWS Linux AMI.

Sometimes its really slow, sometimes it works without issues.
Maybe if Nyet could chime in?

That sucks, what could be done to help out or etc. , or how could one reach out to him or why do you think hes 'ignoring' you?

Lots of good resources here and so on, it would be a shame if something catastrophic happend to it without any backup option or plan.

I would like to report an issue I am experiencing when accessing nefariousmotorsports.com.

The website is intermittently unavailable or extremely slow to load. After performing some network and SSL diagnostics, I found what appears to be a server-side configuration problem.

The issue seems to be related to an incorrect SSL certificate and possibly an Apache VirtualHost configuration problem.

During some connections, the server is not presenting a valid certificate for nefariousmotorsports.com. Instead, it is presenting a self-signed default Apache certificate with the following details:

Common Name (CN): ip-172-30-0-110
Organization: SomeOrganization
Issued: September 14, 2014
Expired: September 14, 2015
Key size: 1024-bit RSA

This certificate does not match the domain name and is rejected by modern browsers (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Windows Schannel), resulting in SSL errors such as:

Certificate name mismatch
Certificate authority invalid
SSL/TLS trust failure

Additionally, when this incorrect certificate is presented, the server returns the default Apache page:

"Test Page for the Apache HTTP Server on Amazon Linux AMI"

instead of the Nefarious Motorsports forum.

This suggests that there may be multiple backend servers or instances behind the domain, and at least one of them appears to have an incorrect Apache VirtualHost or SSL configuration.

Possible causes:

Incorrect Apache VirtualHost configuration
Missing/incorrect SSL certificate installation
A load balancer sending requests to an improperly configured instance
An old Amazon Linux Apache default configuration still active

The correct server should always present a valid certificate issued for:

nefariousmotorsports.com

and redirect requests to the actual forum application.

I hope this information helps you locate the issue. Please let me know if you need additional diagnostic information from my side.

I'm aware of all of these issues, but Tony won't give me access to fix any of them.

Could you grant access? The forum is very large, and the community can only grow with these improvements and fixes.
