Hey there guys! IM tuning my ME7.2 bmw dme that is really similar to the ME7.1 you all guys use. Right now im trying to make the car run leaner then 14.7 (trying to get to 15.5 or so) between 1500 and 3K rpm while cruising.

I already looked at the map "KFLF-lambda characteristic map at part load" and that SEEMED that it would be the map that controls lambda at part throttle BUT right under its description, its stated that:

"The KFLF, KFANS map should not be used for intervening in the mixture, because the relative air charge rl must be
balanced to the engine demand via the pulsation map KFPU. If rl is corrected by KFPU faktor fgru has to be 1.0"

So anyone has any ideas on how can I change Desired/requested lambda at PT.? THANKS:)

This has been discussed before...
ME7 can not have a target leaner than lambda 1.

To make it run leaner, you will have to play with the O2 sensor linearisation and trick the ECU.

Just adjust the O2 sensor map... takes all of 5 minutes.

The OP has a narrowband ECU, please don't nitpick Wink

Knowing nothing about the ECU in question, it does appear possible to target lean lambda values....

AFAIK, LALIUS is only used in wideband ECU's. Narrowband ECU's don't even attempt to convert voltage to lambda. They simply trim to USR.

And if you target leaner than 1.0 on a narrowband ECU you will be running open loop all the time, and it'll still suck...

I'm wasn't nitpicking. I can never tell when someone is talking about narrow or wide band.

Open loop isn't an issue as you aren't trying to maintain tight control of a specific target AFR,  If everything else is calibrated nicely then control is typically within 0.01 lambda anyway.

As long as everything is running alright sure.
But if you get some vacuum leaks for example, then in open loop your part throttle will be screwed up.

On a race car, maybe, on an every day car - IMO bad idea.
