Hi,

this is my cars config:

Bosch 044 fuel pump
Siemens DEKA 630cc injectors @3bar
Sachs Performance clutch kit incl. flywheel
H beam rods
inlet camshaft from an ADR/AGN engine (outlet camshaft original - both camshafts fitted according to the marks): 058 N - 058.109.021.D = 8,41mm, 202°, 12° n. OT
RS4 outlet valve springs, inlet original
Pipercross filter
High-Flow exhaust manifold
K04-023 Hybrid Stage 3 turbo from Turbodynamics
3" downpipe with 200 cell cat
70mm catback
only running at 102 octane

New components:
ignition coils
ignition plugs
knock sensor cyl 3 & 4
air mass sensor

already checked:
engine timing - timing belt & chain
throttle body cleaned
hall sensor
compression (11 bar on all cylinders)
air system no leaks
no leaks at the injectors
no errors in motronic

history:
last year:
h beam rods, exhaust manifold and turbo fitted, car ran with original software without problems about 3000 km

this year:
camshaft, injectors and valve springs fitted
I got a pre software version from my tuner for my setup to see if the car runs.

problems that I have after flashing the software:
1.
VCDS detects misfires - the engine is not running well at idle (about two or three misfires a minute)
while driving there are also misfires however those are not noticeable (can only be measured by VCDS)

2.
Ignition angle retard at cylinder 3 & 4 between 1500 and 2200 rpm. The ignition angle is not equal at both cylinders: the ignition angle of cylinder 3 is always smaller than cyl 4.

The car is running well with original injectors and software (no misfires) except for the ignition angle retard although it's a different engine timing because of the the inlet camshaft. However my tuner told me that this software is already running on other cars with nearly the same config (only the turbo is different - he adapted the software to my turbo of course).

So I do not know how to proceed - maybe someone can look at the file to make sure if it is suitable for my kind of modifications? If there's anybody, I could send it over by email.
Maybe someone had a similar problem and knows if anything can be wrong with the hardware?

I'm meanwhile despairing of it...  Sad Thanks for any help!

Cheers,
Chris

Throw those injectors in the bin.
It will always misfire on them, because they are shit.

Different CF on different cylinders is completely normal.

I'll take a look at your file, PM me.

Thanks for your reply.

A lot of guys use those injectors on their 1.8T and 2.7T here in Germany without problems. Which ones would you recommend for my setup? Smaller ones?

I've also logged data from another car (also BAM) regarding the CF between 1500 and 2200 rpms: all cyl 0°. So I was thinking that there's a problem with the hardware... Shouldn't there be an ignition retard only under boost from 5000 rpm up?

Deka's problem is often.
I also run these without problem so far, but its common for the symptoms you have to blame these injectors, most times justified.

No. You should always have some retard, otherwise you are wasting power.

His misfires are not because of the tune, but the tune was complete trash as well.

Please go deeper into this. I would appreciate it!

I followed chris' problem-thread in a german community and there are no updates since weeks.

Well, for example all failsafes for boost leak detection and so on are completely turned off.
LAMFA is only a little bit richer than stock.
BTS is completely turned off, so the engine will get cooked all the time.

The timing map is made by a monkey, who should have his ++ button removed.
The torque model is screwed up.
UM maps are changed instead of actual maps.

Knock control has been screwed with for some reason.
TVUB is not modified, only KRKTE...

Basically it is a really crappy tune and I don't think whoever tuned this has a good idea of what he is doing.

Thanks for having a look, prj!

The tune is from a well known German VAG tuner, so this is very disappointing...
