so, i came across an aeb ecu i really needed to be able to read. small problem though and reading through a programmer was not an option.
i had the idea to pull the chip off and solder to an me7 and read in bootmode.
it worked! got my full flash read (all 512kb of it  Wink).  Grin

its quite the work around but appeared to work.
just thought id share.

just flashed the replacement ecu with the dumped file and the ecu boots ok. dtcs check ok, readiness checks ok, measuring blocks ok. file seems good!

I wonder how you fit 512k onto a 29F200.

i read it as a 512kb file. then i cut it in half. so i ended with 262,144 bytes.
