So ask him if he disabled reading via OBD.

I'm sure he'll chime in.

i asked him via email..  he was kind of a douche about it.. i realize i ask alot of questions, but thats how you learn..  his words..  "not to be rude, but heres how this work.  You sent money to a guy on the other end of the internet.  I sent a file, you flashed the file.  This transaction is done, i am not technical support"  so here i am.... he said i should be able to flash over it..  And i responded that i wanted a definitive answer and thats where we left off..  he did email me shortly after this post and said "he was thinking about this in the car and asked me how i flashed over the old tune"  and that was it...  Im not for bashing people by any stretch, especially when i took a thrashing on here when i posted looking for someone to fix my tune.  I bit the bullet paid him to retune it(even though it didnt include what was i was led to believe it would) and here i feel as if i got taken yet again.  this time by someone that appeared to be trusted on here and vortex....  whatever live and learn..

you paid $100 and got a much much better tune than what you had. even if just for the improved mileage, well worth the $ you paid.
you kept screaming about wanting antilag. i told you you would have to pay more for that. i told you this upfront.
yet again, you feel as if something is owed to you.

you asked me if i blocked flashing in your email. i did not block flashing. reading is blocked though.
you only sent me a few hundred emails. always asking for help or something for free.

Your right I wanted something for free after I paid you...  Ill quote the email you sent me that said "$100 and ill fix your file up. I can throw antilag in there too since I already patched it to a DL file." Its amazing how this all works..  I never said anything negative about your file, or you for that matter.  I said you got douchey when I asked why o could all of a sudden reflash my car since flashing your "fix".  I was able to successfully read and reflash my car multiple times prior to entrusting you.  Yet every time you post you bash me.  I wanted help for free to start not knowing people wanted paid for help on here. I then pay you for help and you act like an asshat.  Again I only wanted help for free to start out..  then I paid you for help and you helped fuck my ecu...

and just to be clear the ENTIRE conversation through email was 61 total communications.. including you bashing me at the start of all this for asking for help..  thats sent and received..  i think thats well worth $100...  Look i dont want to fight or argue with you on the internet...  I just want someone to help me figure out how i can flash my ecu.. if a boot mode flash will correct the issue or what...  thats all...  so if you do not have anything constructive to help out with gtfu already..

Wanted to update.  After some assistance from some folks.  Since I knew the memory layout was correct. Proceeding to flash stock bin to the ecu was Successful.  Thanks for help to those that took the time.  And btw.  K0mpresd your fixes made a world of difference.
