Hi all, This is actually my first post. I've been learning loads from this forumn -- there is realyl some great info here. I', struggling to figure out this ECU. its ME 7.1 with AM29F400BB -- 512kb. I have two ECUs, the one in my car apparently is GIAC ( i didn't knwo when i first downloaded the bin) and the other was a stock 021908018Q (same car with auto trans) which i've successfully loaded the M software on.
I've used winols to find potential maps, and i've looked at tons of xdfs for other ECUs and even looke dat some damos files, but nothing seems to match up tot the map addresses in my file. I think i have 3 maps figured out, but the rest are a mystery. any help figuring this out is greatly appreciated.
11B84 - 12x16 -- maybe fueling 1276c - 12x16 -- Throttle i think 11A66 - 6x16 -- ? 1249E - 12x10 -- ? 12920 - 8x16 -- ? 12F52 -- 8x7 -- ? 149B3 -- 6x6 -- ? 16204 -- 5x5 -- this may be nothing, but winols says its a map 16276 -- 10x10 -- likely also nothing but winols says its a map 1A8AC - 8x8 -- I believe this and the next one are MAF tables of some type 1A950 - 8x8 --? very similar to 1A8AC 1B9AE -- 8x8 -- instinct tells me this has something to do with the opening of the intake switch rod (changes length of runners or something in intake) since it has a huge spike at possibly an RPM? The intake rod switches around 3500rpm 1C840 - 8x16 -- ?
ECU number is 021908018M For anyoen that's curious, this file works fine on a 021908018Q ECU (the automatic ECU, M is the manul. There is also an 021908018R that i have not seen or tested but i think it's just a small software revision)
My car had a GIAC chip. That file is much differnt than stock. I don't think teh maps are much different but he locations are way different. I've heard that GIAC moves things around -- very annoying!
