Has anyone found a Galletto cable with a proper digitally signed driver for use with Win 10?

I use a $12 galletto cable off of amazon. works with windows 10. Sometimes ill flash my ross-tech cable to the galletto .ept file and that works even. I have tried to use the Vag K+ Can Commander cables with no luck but those work with me7logger.

Thanks for the reply. Do you have a link to the source of the Galletto/Win 10 viable cable? Are you using the drivers included with the Galletto CD?

I just bought his cable which worked flawlessly with Nefmoto (https://www.ebay.com/itm/FTDI-FT232RL-VAG-COM-KKL-409-1-OBD2-KWP2000-ISO9141-USB-FOR-VW-AUDI/273510962411?_mwBanner=1&ul_ref=https%3A%2F%2Frover.ebay.com%2Frover%2F0%2F0%2F0%3Fmpre%3Dhttps%253A%252F%252Fwww.ebay.com%252Fulk%252Fitm%252F273510962411%26rvr_id%3D0%26rvr_ts%3De54a34de16d0aaa2893330f1fff58621&ul_noapp=true&pageci=5875c070-97b8-49c5-8f0f-58c3a5e3a56d&epid=1660061025)

Thanks for the link. I have a K-Line cable that is currently working on ME 7.1 ECUs but I cannot find any Galletto cable with proper drivers for Win 10 which is desired for reading/flashing in boot mode.

If you have a working cable, you can just modify Galletto to work with it. No separate cable needed. Here is a link from the late great Daz on how to do it:

Don't both messing with the cable serial. Just read yours and then use a hex editor on the Galletto exe to input it, save the exe and you are up and going... I've been doing it that way through my last 4 cables (they seem to die when stored in my glovebox - Chinese quality!).

Is there any reason the FT231X chip would not be compatible? it appears to support the same drivers as far as I can tell.

No. Only FTDI based cables are supported.

This is because NefMoto uses FTDI FTD2XX DLLs for serial communication. I think this was done mostly to allow the EEPROM to be used for license checking. Now that NefMoto is open source ,it shouldn't be too hard to allow it to support generic COM cables.

However, Tactrix would be more challenging to support than generic COM cables because it does not use a serial communication driver but rather the J2534 diagnostics protocol.

Hello ..

I have been working with me7 for 12-13 years, tested several cables. This one is best. Never had any problems with all the me7 programs Smiley

I just purchased the following cable https://www.ebay.it/itm/164401045711 but I am unable to have it shown in NefMoto 1.9.4.3 (Win7 64 bit)

Are there any obvious reasons the cable is not good or am I doing something wrong?

Thanks!

I guess its based on ch340 chip so IT won't work. Check in device manager if I'm right.

Yes, you are right. Darn, I should have read the post more carefully...

So I should get a KKL cable with a FT232R chip, right? I didn't check the chip, I just went for a generic KKL 409.1 cable.

Thanks!
