I was shopping Ebay and bought a MAF, which ended up being the wrong one. I didn't check it until now and its too late to send back. I believe it's for a vw 1.9t diesel. I was trying to get a MAF for audi TT quatro with BEA engine code(225hp stock). I was going to transfer the MAF maps from a stock BEA file I found on here so I could use it <-(the MAF) on my HS box. Should I just get the correct MAF I need? The one I have on hand is about the same diameter as the audi TT part but it has a tube running through it, and part of the MAF sensor protrudes into the tube. I guess to shield it from airflow somewhat.
Thanks.

look up the part number on the maf, find the vehicle it was made for, download the stock flash for said vehicle, copy the maf tables into your file.

I thought of that already and it's like a chinese knock off or something because it doesn't have any numbers on it at all anywhere! I'm going to have to guess what its for specificly by identifing it through pics ("Oh it looks like that one!")...Is there anyother way to figure out how to tune the maps for the MAF by maybe using a multimeter to test the leads of the sensor and measuring the MAF housing? I thought I read about this somewhere in here but I still haven't figured out how to bookmark threads and the search isn't bringing up what I'm looking for.

I don't understand how to do that so I guess I will get the right one and stop gambling on new MAFs for $30 on Ebay..

Oddly enough, my 1.9tdi 115bhp golf had the same maf sensor as my TT! I know this as when TT started Avignon an issue I looked at the tdi one and realised it was the same I tried it and it work fine... Not saying yours is but there's a chance.

Littco, will you send me your diesel .bin please? Does your TT have the BEA engine (225hp) code? I'm doing a k04-022 swap and prettymuch everyone says to use the MAF for the BAM engine and the 386cc injectors. I was thinking of getting the "green top" 440cc injectors instead because of cost and for when I go bigger turbo.
