Okay I was wrong, after flashing the eeprom from the S4 cluster I noticed that the oil temperature
gauge stopped working. I flashed the original one back and voila it works. Do you guys have any idea? Smiley

No clue on the oil temp issue... but i have run in to another issue.. the miles to empty reading is very wrong (about 30% high)...

Is the RS4 fuel tank bigger or something?

Well the cluster code is different, so even the speed/rpm readings were a bit off with the S4 cluster dump written to the RS4 cluster, so I reverted back to the RS4 one and killed the immo led.

The fuel tanks are the same, both being 62 litres.

Seems as though the issue is that the RS4 cluster somehow ignores FKVA... which is problematic because the max KVB isn't big enough for my injectors. Now experimenting with KVNPZ...

That might be the issue then. I am only running 550cc EV14s and my consumption display usually shows
the correct values.

That calculation is done in the ECU software and the result is sent to the cluster on the CANbus.

Coding issue or max limit in the cluster maybe?

That was my understanding as well. I'll know pretty soon, got an almost empty tank of gas now.

I had that issue (ignoring FKVA) but never got to the bottom of it.... I'm curious to see if you get that resolved though Smiley

I have verified that neither KVB nor KVNPZ have any effect on the RS4 cluster. No idea why.

However, maxing KVB and the cluster adaptation to 115% gets me close enough ... so I guess thats that for now.

So anybody wanting to use >900cc injectors with M-box and RS4 cluster will want to consider moving to K-box (which I assume works correctly, although i have not tried it yet)
