Is there a way of getting a hard cut rev limiter? Rather than running up to the limiter at 300rpm before and feeling it back off is it possible to get it run up and then cut at the limit dead. I assume it may need some routine change on the rpm limiter to cut ignition but before I go down that route just wondered if any one had a pearls of wisdom I've over looked.

You can use fuel cut to give you a harder limiter.  If you want to bounce of it, you need custom code.

Please tell me more.

I'm always open to suggestions and seemingly as Rick does know what he's talking about most of the time I'd have to listen to him over a " read FR comment"!

I was hoping someone might have a simple answer for me rather than the cryptic " you must learn young Jedi" none sense that turns up every now and then...

But why would you want a limiter that are more prune to destroy engine mounts and other stuff? Why is it not enough to decrease the mentioned 300rpm?

Because I want to know if its possible , for no other reason. The 300rpm just seems soft...

i have tried the dnmaxh a few times for mine, only for the first second or two its a hard limiter, then it seems to go soft Sad, so it seems in my case custom code is needed, or atleast modification of the original code

edit : i did not read post fully, to early Undecided... snow troopers method worked for me up high, but i turned it back after almost hitting the windshield a few times, its definitely a HARD limit

Are you guys sure you are not talking about gear dependent torque limiter at high rpm?
